China will adopt new plan of operation of trains

China will adopt new plan of operation of trains
China Railway Corporation (CRC) announced on Wednesday a new plan of railway operation over high-speed trains in order to increase the capacity of the main lines and cargo services.
The adjusted plan, effective from July 1, will increase Chinese passenger trains in service to 4,894, of which 2,660 are CRH bullet trains.
With 121 trains added to the plan of operation, the main high-speed lines linking the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Harbin, Shijiazhuang and Taiyuan have better capacity to carry passengers from one to another, said the CRC.
Besides offering more bullet trains, the CRC will have faster and better service passenger trains, including some common trains equipped with air conditioning.
The provider of rail services will operate 118 freight trains across the country, including three that run at 120 kilometers per hour between China and Europe.
To meet the demand of the growing e-commerce in China, the CRC will also launch six direct freight trains between Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen for faster deliveries.
China had a railway network of more than 100,000 km at the end of last year, including more than 10,000 km of high speed, and plans to increase it to 120 000 2020.
